Baker Library’s growing collection of late 20th and 21st century resources focuses on the records of innovative companies and leaders who have shaped the world economy.

    Harvard Business School Archives

    The HBS Archives include the records of Harvard Business School from its founding in 1908 to the present day. The archives are a rich resource to learn about subjects such as the development of the case method, changes in curriculum, the intersection of the School and innovations in business, and the global impact of Harvard Business School.

    American Business History Records

    Baker Library holds nearly 1,600 collections of original records produced by companies and entrepreneurs in the course of their regular business operations. Dating from the 17th to early 20th century, they are an invaluable resource for the study of the development and growth of American commerce and industry and cover the broadest range of business activities.

    The Kress Collection of Business and Economics is recognized as one of the premier rare book collections in the world. Researchers will find the classics of economic thought and works that reflect economic life from 1472 to 1850.

    Historic Corporate Reports

    Baker Library holds one of the largest collections of corporate reports in the world, representing over 27,000 companies. It includes annual reports, prospectuses, proxies, registration statements, and miscellaneous items such as brokerage-house reports, charts, and unpublished corporate histories.
