Harvard Business School Archives
The HBS Archives contain records that document the history of Harvard Business School, faculty, research, teaching, and the student experience. The collections date from the establishment of the school in 1908 through the present day and document the development of the case method, changes in curriculum, the intersection of the school and innovations in business, and the global impact of HBS, among other research areas.
Faculty collections document the history and global impact of the school’s research and teaching and provide insight into the evolution and impact of business theory and education. The faculty collections contain course materials, such as cases and course syllabi, case preparation materials and drafts, writing and research notes, research data, lecture and seminar notes, and professional correspondence.  Â
The HBS Archives, mandated by Harvard University, is responsible for acquiring, preserving, and making available the records of HBS that have permanent legal, fiscal, and/or historical value.  These include school publications, paper files, photographs, oral histories, video, film, and digital materials.
