Identifying HBS Alumni
How do I find HBS alumni who work in a given industry or job function?
HBS MBA students and alumni can use the Alumni Directory.
In Capital IQ:
Searching by People
Hover over Screening from the top blue menu ribbon and click on People.
Click on Degrees under the Education section, select MBA. Add to Selected Items; and Add Criteria.
Click on Colleges/Universities under the Education section. Type in Harvard, click on Go, and select Harvard Business School and Harvard University. Add to Selected Items, and Add Criteria.
(Recommended) Click on Professional Types under Employment/Board, select Current Professional. Add to Selected Items; and Add Criteria.
Add other criteria as desired and View Results.
Searching by Companies
Hover over Screening from the top blue menu ribbon and click on Companies.
Click on Degrees under the Education section, select MBA. Add to Selected Items; and Add Criteria.
Click on Colleges/Universities under the Education section. Type in Harvard, click on Go, and select Harvard Business School and Harvard University. Add to Selected Items, and Add Criteria.
(Recommended) Click on Professional Types under Employment/Board, select Current Professional. Add to Selected Items; and Add Criteria.
Add other criteria (such as Industry Classifications and/or Geographic Locations) as desired and View Results.
In Pitchbook:
Searching by People
Select People under the Data section of the left-hand menu.
Under Person Information, go to University/Institution.
Type in Harvard Business School.
Add any additional search criteria, if desired.
Searching by Companies
Select Companies under the Data section of the left-hand menu.
Select SPs & People from the left-hand list of filters.
Under Person Info, go to University/Institution.
Type in Harvard Business School.
Add any additional search criteria, if desired.
Click on Advanced Search.
Expand Education and add Harvard Business School.
Add any additional search criteria, if desired.
