George F. F. Lombard Papers, 1941—1977
George F. F. Lombard was a pioneer in the fields of human relations and organizational behavior, as well as a former senior associate dean at HBS who was known for his care and concern for colleagues and students alike. In 1952 he was appointed full professor of human relations and was instrumental in developing curriculum in this emergent field. His papers document an influential career of groundbreaking research into labor turnover, problems of teamwork, and conventions and values in the workplace.
