Global Markets

The development of railroad, steamship, and telegraph networks in the second half of the nineteenth century fundamentally changed transportation and communication, transforming the business landscape and facilitating the emergence of new global markets. Baker Library continues to build diverse primary resource collections that trace this expansion, with a particular focus on enterprise in India, China, and Latin America.
