Historical Collections Reference Request Form
If you have questions that are very broad or do not relate directly to materials in the Historical Collections Department of Baker Library, you will probably have better success by contacting your local school or public library first. The Historical Collections Department is open to all researchers who are engaged in scholarly research; the collections are not available for genealogical research.
Please use this form for questions about our collections and services, and for making an appointment to visit. Catalog records for many of the holdings of the Historical Collections Department appear in HOLLIS, the Harvard Online Library Information System.
Historical Collections Reference Staff answers electronic reference requests between 9—5, Monday through Friday, excepting major holidays. Expect a response within 48 hours of your request submission. If you require an immediate response, please call the Historical Collections Reference Desk during business hours at 617.495.6411.
