Access, Use, & Borrowing Policies

Accessibility
We welcome all users and endeavor to follow the guidelines on accessibility set out by Harvard's University Disability Resources.
Animals
Per HBS Policy (HBS login required), only service animals are allowed inside HBS facilities, including Baker Library. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed inside the library.
Copyright
As part of the Harvard Library community and as active participants in its Copyright First Responders program, we work to create a shared culture of understanding of copyright.

Gifts of Books & Other Materials
We generally do not accept unsolicited gifts of books or other material for our contemporary collections. Alternatively, please consider donating books to Better World Books.
If you think your potential gift will uniquely complement or strengthen our existing collections, email infoservices@hbs.edu.

Guests
We welcome guests to briefly walk through the Stamps Reading Room during Main Desk hours or to use our first-floor lobby. Guests are not permitted in other areas of the library.
Guests are welcome to apply for Harvard Library visitor access, which includes access to Baker Library’s Stamps Reading Room.
Photography & Filming
We welcome our patrons taking photographs in the Stamps Reading Room using cell phones or hand-held cameras without flash or tripod. Photography in Stamps Reading Room using professional equipment is limited to school operational purposes and must be approved by Baker Library staff and HBS Marketing & Communications beforehand.
Taking photographs of individuals without prior consent, or taking photographs for commercial or editorial purposes, is not permitted.
Photography and filming are generally not permitted in the de Gaspé Beaubien Reading Room due to its smaller size.

Privacy
We respect the privacy of our users and follow the privacy policies of HBS and the privacy guidelines of the American Library Association.
