Where can I find country, industry and market information and news about my FIELD Global Capstone location?
Industry and market research
Useful for: consumer-related industry reports across a variety of geographies/countries.
To begin, enter industry or keyword and geography keywords in search (ex: restaurants China).
Search tips: use concise keywords. Go to "Analysis" section for full industry reports; Go to "Consumers" section to brows reports on consumer lifestyles, or search: lifestyle [China] within the Consumers > Lifestyles section.
Useful for: emerging market information, including company info, news and niche industry reports. Strong foreign language news component.
Search tips: At the top of the page under Region/Country, deselect all and re-select your GEO country. Then enter industry or company keywords. Can search in multiple languages.
Useful for: country specific data using Statista's Consumer Market Outlook, Digital Market Outlook, and individual country reports. Some markets not covered for every country.
Search tips: select a specific market then narrow region to relevant GEO country.
Country information and data
Useful for: in-depth country information covering recent economic and political developments, risk and regulation, and the broad business environment.
Search tips: go to Data Tool to download specific indicators of interest, including indicators relating to consumer consumption, income, demographics, etc.
Oxford Business Group Country Reports
Useful for: in-depth analysis of broad industry categories within each country (ICT, Retail, Transportation, etc).
News
Useful for: targeted news search on specific industries, companies or countries
Search tips: use News Pages to read today’s news from selected newspapers such as Wall Street Journal; use the Search Builder under the Search tab when conducting a news search within the database. It allows to limit a search by date, region, source, headline, etc.
