Does Baker have equipment that can be borrowed or used?

Baker loans select equipment to current Harvard University ID holders at the Stamps Reading Room service desk (3rd floor, Baker Library | Bloomberg Center).

Items are available for 3-hour use in the reading room.
Items are first-come-first-serve and cannot be reserved in advance or online.

Equipment Available On-Site

Baker has various equipment to assist with research that can be used within the library. Staff are available during Service Desk Hours to help you locate and use the equipment.

Resources are first-come-first-serve and cannot be reserved in advance or online.
If shared resources are in use, librarians will facilitate reasonable time limits or other accommodations.

Windows and Mac PCs have the following software installed: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and R Studio.
All Mac PCs also function as external monitors, but do not provide external power to connected laptops.
Several external monitors (in different sizes: 24” Flat, 27" Studio Display, 32” Curved, 34” Curved) connect to docking stations and deliver external power to laptops with provided USB-C cable.
