Where do I find data on total returns for stocks, bonds, and indexes?
Finaeon : has total return indices for bills, bonds and stocks, as well as individual index returns.
Login anonymously.
Click on GFDatabase.
In the Series Type drop-down menu, select Total Return Indices for bills, bonds or stocks.
In the Country drop-down menu, select World or a specific country or region.
Click on Search.
Type TRA (Total Return Analysis)- this is a function that allows you to calculate returns.
To calculate TSR (Total Shareholder Return) in the excel add-in use the following formula:
=BDH("IBM US EQUITY","day_to_day_tot_return_gross_dvds","23/03/2010","23/03/2015"
