Where can I find the Producer Price Index or Consumer Price Index for the U.S. and other countries?
United States
Producer Price Indexes and Consumer Price Indexes from the Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
International:
From the main menu at the top of the page click IMF DATA.
In section for Data by Indicator, click Prices, Production, and Labor.
From the drop-down menu for Prices, Production, and Labor select Producer Prices.
Select the desired date(s).
Time series data for individual countries back to the 1800s, and further in some cases.
Log in Anonymously. For frequent use, create an account for a personalized experience.
Expand the GFDatabase menu (default).
Select a country or region.
From the Series Type filter, choose Wholesale Price Indices.
Enter desired Start year and End year.
Click Search.
From the Data menu at the top of the page, select Data Tool from the drop-down menu that appears.
In Step 1, choose All CountryData from the drop-down.
In Step 2, choose the region or country and click ADD.
In Step 3, expand Fiscal and monetary indicators and then expand Inflation and wages.
Choose Producer Price Index (av) and click ADD.
In Step 4. Choose year and click ADD.
In Step 5. click View Data.
Change search terms in international sources examples to consumer price to locate appropriate data series relating to CPI.
