Carbon pricing
Where to find carbon pricing data including companies with internal carbon prices?
Bloomberg: (in-library use)
After login, type “CARBON” in command line at the top search box, and press <GO>, you will see a list of carbon-related functions. You can then go from there.
LSEG Workspace:
Note: LSEG does not have any North America compliance markets allowance prices. You will only find auctions prices.
Find carbon market data using the Carbon app:
After login, type “CARBON” in the top search box to launch the app,
Select a market (Default: Europe),
Navigate to the Price tab.
Moreover, to locate LSEG’s Carbon Market Year in Review report, click on the Analysis tab and in the left column, navigate to "Publications".
Or, find carbon data using the Energy Transition app
Type “ETRANSITION” into the top search box to launch the app,
Navigate to the Market Pricing tab,
In the left column, select "Carbon Credits & Allowances" section for a consolidated view of pricing.
Find companies with internal carbon prices:
Type “SCREENER” in the top search box to launch the app
On the left column, select “Public & Private Companies” in the UNIVERSE drop-down menu
Scroll down to find and click the three lines nest to launch the "Data Items Library" window
In the window, select “Environmental, Social and Governance” > “Environmental Data Assurance Standard” > You may modify the “Parameters” as needed, or simply click “OK”
Select Environmental Data Assurance Standard = “true” > click “Done”
