Capital IQ

Description: Data on public and private companies, investment firms, capital transactions, and people.

Provides sophisticated retrieval and personalization tools to create numerous reports.

Important notice on changes to Capital IQ

Capital IQ now limits the number of remote access accounts that are available to academic subscribers. In order to make sure that our allotted accounts go to individuals who would use their account regularly, we are asking the HBS community to use the workstations in the library for one-time or infrequent use. From the library workstations you can easily get help, download your data and email or save it to a USB drive.

In order to keep within our allotment of accounts we have deleted some little used accounts. Owners of these accounts have beeen notified. If you did not get an email regarding your account, your account is still active and you may go to Capital IQ as you did in the past.

If you expect to use Capital IQ regularly and would like to request an individual account, please fill out this form with your HBS email account. Requests that do not supply an HBS email will not be honored.

An Excel Add-on is available in the Financial Databases Room (FDR-4). Excel Add-ons are not available for individual MBA accounts.

Use Internet Explorer when using this database.

Note: Our license with Capital IQ does not allow it to be used at all in conjunction with any outside organization, including for internships and field studies. Accordingly, Capital IQ access for MBA students ends June 1. Access for returning students begins on the first day of the fall term.
