Published in 1819 and 1820 only, the purpose of Magazin für den teutschen Flachs- und Hanf Bau und Verbesserung dieser Produkte, a journal on flax and hemp manufacturing, was to make foreign, especially English and French, scientific and technological advances available to producers in the German textile industry. A number of recent developments in the preparation of flax and hemp fibers for spinning are described and illustrated in detail.
