Baker Library works with faculty who are designing or revising a course to develop an information-rich learning environment, integrating resources and research skill development to achieve teaching objectives and enhance student learning.

Baker Research & Data Services (BRDS)

  • Case / Exhibit Updates- Case protagonist update packages can be provided prior to each teaching group meeting. 

Curriculum & Learning Services (CLS)

  • Custom Curriculum Products- Information products (examples include Fast Answers or research guides) focused on research skill development and tailored to specific course objectives.
  • Class Presentations- Targeted demonstrations to teach students how to select, evaluate, and use the best information resources for your course.
  • Course Readings- Curated suggestions from Baker to support your syllabus.
  • Course Materials- Creation of stable links for course-related readings; print materials placed on Reserve within the Stamps Reading Room

Special Collections and Archives (SCA)

Serving as a key teaching and learning resource for the Harvard University community, Special Collections and Archives provides a range of course services for the undergraduate and graduate student body.

  • Case support - Identification and presentation of original materials in the HBS classroom to illuminate an HBS case
  • Hands-on Special Collections experience - Class sessions in Special Collections and Archives or in the classroom with faculty- or archivist-selected collection material
  • Class presentation - Customized presentations focused on specific curriculum goals using original rare materials
  • Background and contextual information sharing – Digital copies of original materials to bring the reality of a time and place alive for students in the classroom
  • Assignment development – Creation of assignments that require engagement with Special Collections and Archives materials and meet course objectives
