This file contains four letters from women describing their religious communities. A letter from Martha Martin of Woodbury [VT?], written in 1818, relates to the religious sentiments in the town and the marriage of the town's minister.

A letter from Maria Squires to her sister, Lucretia A. Tucker in West Troy, New York, written June 4, 1844, discusses family news, illnesses, and religious sentiments. Another letter from an unknown woman describes her own religious worship and feelings. The fourth letter written in 1839, from another unknown woman, discusses her life onboard a ship taking her to her missionary post in the Pacific.
