The collection contains the accounts of a trust set up by James De Wolf in 1832 for his daughter, Josephine De Wolf Lovett. The accounts included in the volume are from 1883 until 1903, when Josephine's son, James De Wolf Lovett, was the trustee of the estate. In 1907, the trust was dissolved and split among Josephine's heirs.
