William Kilby was a blacksmith in Dennysville, Maine. Three women are mentioned in the account book that he kept between 1795 and 1812.

Lydia Hucking and Betsey Stoddard were paid for their domestic service in Kilby's household. Bela Wilder is debited for blacksmith work and credited for butter and cheese.
