This folder includes the notes of Boston's Overseer of the Poor made between 1702 and 1704. In his writings, he describes the situation of various individuals, including a number of women. His notes mention Esther Tigsworth and her three daughters, who were "reported not to imploy themselves in an Honest Imploy answerable to their way of living and that they Entertain in their House company during late at night." He also describes the situation of Christian Harper and Barbara Beass, who were "persons of Ill fame spending their time Joley [?], they usually frequent Squires House."

Another document in this file is an account made in 1762 of "sundry persons in the
Almshouse." The account lists a number of women and records the amount of time they
stayed in the almshouse.
