| Catalog Record |
Mss 732 1732-1790 B797 Volume 2, p. 21 |
This collection contains four volumes of letters written by various eighteenth-century merchants in Boston, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island. Most of the letters discuss prices and cargoes. Out of the entire collection, there is only one letter from a female merchant. This letter, from Jane Curtis in Boston, Massachusetts, to Christopher Champlin in Newport, Rhode Island, discusses a shipment she received from Glasgow of lawn and white thread. She gives Champlin the prices for the goods and offers to be his supplier.
