The accounts of William Chapin Jr. credit Peter Terne in 1799 for his "wife making a coat" (leaf 4). Leaves 3, 17, 24, 25, 29, 33, 35 of the volume include payments for textiles, butter, clothing, mending, and dyeing yarn.
While it is likely that women were involved with this work, no women's names are mentioned in these accounts.
