Series 2. Business Papers

2.1 Correspondence, 1924-1949.  This subseries contains the bulk of the correspondence in the collection. It has been kept in the original order and is arranged under several different headings. "Personal and business correspondence" covers a variety of topics. The correspondents are business associates of McKittricks and while they discuss banking matters they also touch on non-business subjects. "Business" letters concern themselves exclusively with business matters. The folders are arranged chronologically.

2.2 Subject Files, 1931-1946.  This subseries is almost entirely concerned with the B.I.S. The few folders that pre-date McKittrick's presidency of the B.I.S. are arranged first and are followed by the B.I.S. material. The files are arranged alphabetically.

2.3 Writings, printed material and photographs, 1930-ca. 1950.  This includes an article by McKittrick, newsclippings about the B.I.S. and McKittrick's role, and two photographs. The photographs consist of a portrait of McKittrick and a group photograph of McKittrick and the directors of the B.I.S., 1941. There are several copy prints of the group photograph in addition to the original. Only the original photograph identifies the subjects.
