Deal DescriptionThe government of Mexico applied the net proceeds from this transaction to foreign exchange expenditures required for the purchase of capital equipment in connection with certain of its economic development projects, including projects for electric power generation or distribution, highways, and irrigation, or to the refunding of outstanding indebtedness held by financial institutions abroad, principally in the United States, which was originally incurred to help finance economic development projects.
