Deal DescriptionHarvey Aluminum (Incorporated) initially added the net proceeds from this transaction to its general funds, and later applied them to the program of construction and acquisition of new facilities. At that time, the company was involved in such a program. An addition to the company's aluminum reduction plant at The Dalles, Oregon, expected to increase the annual reduction capacity by 25%, was constructed. Billet casting, wire rod, and related facilities were also added to The Dalles plant. The company was constructing a bar and rod- rolling mill and facilities for producing aluminum conduit at its fabricating plant in Torrance, California, and was constructing and/or equipping warehouses in Torrance and elsewhere.
