Deal DescriptionThe Dayton Corporation used a portion of its net proceeds from this transaction to redeem all of its outstanding Series A and B 6% preferred stock. The balance was added to the company's general funds, to be used for additional inventory and other working capital requirements and was available for the construction and fixturing of new stores. Of the shares offered in this deal, 100,000 were sold by the group of selling shareholders, which consisted of Donald C. Dayton, Bruce R. Dayton, Wallace C. Dayton, Kenneth N. Dayton, and Douglas J. Dayton.
