- 1968 Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinee Boke project September 18, 1968 agreements, certain financial arrangements
Although these deal books are filed under Halco Mining, they document a non-company deal. The deal provided funds for mining for bauxite, the raw material in aluminum production, in the Boké region of Guinea in West Africa. The Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée (CBG), a Delaware corporation also registered in Conakry, Guinea, provided additional capital in the deal. For-profit companies such as Halco, Alcan, Alcoa, and Aluminum Canada were involved. However, the Republic of Guinea also participated by taking out loans from the World Bank and the Agency for International Development to fund infrastructure for the project. The financing was provided by the government of Guinea and its agencies.
Note : Halco is a name change from Harvey Aluminum Company, of Delaware.
