Description: The PitchBook Platform includes data on the entire private equity lifecycle.

Individual accounts required. Send an account request to clientservices@pitchbook.com from a Harvard email account (or the request will not be honored) and state your Harvard affiliation (status [graduate student, faculty, staff, etc.] and school).

Account holders can go directly to http://www.pitchbook.com and log in.

A password reset is required at the start of each semester (for all account holders).

  • Student accounts will not include downloading capabilities and profile views are limited to twenty-five (25) per day and one hundred (100) per month.

Use Pitchbook for information on:

  • Companies & Deals
    Search thousands of deals by hundreds of criteria ( transaction details, industry, geography, investors, lenders and service providers). Review detailed profiles of private equity-backed companies including proprietary information on their transactions (deal size, valuation, EBITDA multiple, debt structure, etc.) and full profile links to the associated investors, service providers and industry professionals.
  • Public Company Comparables
    Search over 12,000 public companies to build a set of public comparables filtering by numerous financial metrics and general criteria including size, industry, business description, and keywords. Then use the Comps Tool to run side by side comparisons including the balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows as well as 130 key ratios, multiples and other metrics for your entire comps group.
  • Private Equity Investors / Financial Sponsors
    Search private equity investors, financial sponsors and strategic buyers by hundreds of criteria (stated investment criteria or by actual completed deals). Investor profiles include funds, portfolio of investments, investment professionals' profiles, limited partners and service providers - all of which are dynamically linked.
  • PE & VC Fund Returns Data and Analysis Tools
    Search over 14,000 funds and use dozens of criteria to build comparable peer groups, perform due diligence, develop benchmarks and gather intelligence on the private equity marketplace. The data includes more than 100,000 individual detailed quarterly records of fund contributions, distributions, remaining values, IRR and other valuation multiples on the individual fund level.
  • Service Providers & Lenders
    Search for service providers and lenders performing general services or on a deal - or fund-specific basis. Analyze service provider market share, league tables and client listings.
  • Limited Partners
    Search for limited partners by either past commitments or investment preferences. Review the limited partner profiles with details on the investors and funds that they are seeking.
