Who can use the Exchange?

  • The Exchange in the lobby of the Baker Library | Bloomberg Center has eight dual screen computers; two have restricted access logins for current HBS MBA and doctoral students, HBS faculty, and staff only.
  • These computers can only be used for academic research purposes.

Where can I get assistance on using the databases available at the Exchange?

Can I use my USB drive on computers in the Exchange?

  • Yes. At dual-screen workstations, USB ports are located on the back side of the keyboard.

What is the HBS Video Loop?

  • This is a continuous loop of videos of selected presentations that have recently taken place on the HBS campus. For a complete video archive of these events, see the HBS Video Showcase.

How do I hear audio content in the Exchange?

  • If a pre-scheduled program is not taking place in the Exchange, all audio will be muted, but available via FM radio transmission. Stations are listed at Now Showing at the Exchange. To listen, tune your Walkman to the station noted on the screen.
  • Connected to all eight computers in the Exchange are headphones for listening to audio content.

Is all the audio content in the Exchange close-captioned?

  • Content will be closed-captioned wherever possible from broadcasting sources such as CNN and Bloomberg. Closed-captioning is not available for HBS video content.

Will I be able to get audio transcripts of content in the Exchange?

  • Transcripts for specific content will be provided if requested through the HBS Disability Office. Please contact a Baker staff person for assistance.
