Question: How can I screen for private equity or venture capital firms investing in a particular industry, stage of investment, and/or geography?
Answer: Go to:
  • Capital IQ -
    1. Mouse over Screening & Analytics, Targeting, and Find Buyers or Investors.
    2. You can screen for investors that operate or have investments by industry, stage (from incubation to mature, including buyouts, re-capitalization, turnaround and PIPES), size of investment, and geography.
    3. Click on Run Search
    4. You may add display columns and download into excel.

  • Thomson ONE Banker.
      1. Click on Private Equity on the left menu.
      2. Click on Profiles.
      3. Click on Firms and enter your criteria.

  • SDC Platinum, an online system available in Baker Library. SDC contains a longer history of investments than other databases.
  • Galante's Venture Capital and Private Equity Directory is searchable by a wide range of criteria
